Hey, I am here to invite you to the Formula Locust Championship.
Please read all the rules below carefully.
All rules and times are subject to change before the event starts.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask by directly messaging me.
Every team has to register for the event by replying to this thread once, following the format given in this thread.
Please register only if you are sure that you can come.
If you want to participate just for fun and not for premium reward, we will be able to take your time during training session and you don't have to register here.

Registration format:
  • Name of Team;
  • Picture of Team Paintjob;
  • In-game/account name of Team member #1, Driver Number;
  • In-game/account name of Team member #2, Driver Number.
Registration deadline: March 28th, 00:00 (GMT+1). There will be 8 teams of 2 (16 drivers)*, if all spots are taken, your team will be on the reserves in case a team doesn't attend.

* - The amount of drivers might change to 8 (Min) or 20 (Max) depending on the demand.

Rules:
  1. Keep it civil, do not insult other driver/teams;
  2. If you are not part of the participants, please don't try to join the races or troll the drivers;
  3. Follow the Requirements/Limitations, failure to follow those will result in a disqualification of the racer for the race and/or championship.
How the event works:
  • All races will take place in the Street-X tracks of Motorland;
  • The drivers will be divided into groups of 4 randomly*¹, one group will receive instructions on how to join the password-protected race (PW will be sent via pm) and which order to join*². The groups will do all races in order to make things faster;
  • The score system is based on Formula 1 depending on how many drivers we have (Plus 1 point for the racer with the fastest lap):
  1. System from 1991 to 2002 if we have 12 or less drivers;
  2. System from 2003 to 2009 if we have 16 drivers;
  3. System from 2010 to 2018 if we have 20 drivers.
*¹ - No group will have 2 drivers of the same team in it.
*² - If a racer is unable to attend, the group it is part of will start the race without him/her and said racer will receive no points, so please make sure you pay attention to when I call your group to race.

Objective:
Get the fastest total time and fastest lap on each track.

Rewards:
  • Driver's Champion: 7 days of premium;
  • Team's Champion: 7 days of premium for each driver.
Schedule:
  • March 28th, 18:00 (GMT+1) - Reveal of the Teams and Drivers that are participating;
  • March 30th, 18:00 (GMT+1) - Window to race opens;
  • March 31st, 00:00 (GMT+1) - Window to race closes and reveal of the Driver Standings and Team Standings.
* - There might be delays of 5 to 15 minutes

Disclaimer: The races are probably going take 20 to 30 minutes per group, so the event might last 1 to 3 hours, so evaluate whether you will be able to stay online for this long.

Requirements/Limitations:
  • Have a Locust without performance upgrades (370 score);
  • Team Livery with a number from 1 to 99 for each driver.

Tracks list*:
  • Motorland Track 1, 9 Laps (Total of 4.5 Km)
  • Motorland Track 2, 6 Laps (Total of 4.2 Km)
  • Motorland Track 3, 5 Laps (Total of 4.5 Km)
  • Motorland Track 4, 3 Laps (Total of 4.5 Km)
* - Some of these tracks might be on reverse, this will be chosen by the drivers and revealed on March 28th.

Good luck and have fun!

Disclaimer: Organizational staff is not to be blamed if participants waste money and time for this event.

P.S. Special thanks to devs for sponsoring the event.
Yeay stock Locust and motorland, gamepad haven ^^
ban joysticks or riot part 2

How about specially mapped closed city track for the race? I personally find it's not fun racing on motorland because of the ridiculously small the scale is. Either way i would be okay with any, it's your event after all.

I planned on making it on the city in freerun, but like... stock locust suspension and collisions. Also I suck at making maps, maybe next time I do this event I'll do it

The car suspension is pain in the ass indeed. The map would need to have smoothing here and there, on the sidewalks mostly. We can have them turned into kerbs, something like this:

If I learn how to do maps I'll try that
.Cool.
