FIRST.

A lot of new people keep joining beta test. They actually love the idea, but they give up too quickly. It's mostly because of RP requirements.
Performance upgrade requirements are always the same. 2,5k RP is just too much for a new player. People mostly play custom races, there's always someone in race who spends more time than others (like me tho), and their stock cars, or 2/3 street get crushed in a race.

Solution:
Requirements progression. For example, requirements for upgrade should be like 100rp, 400rp, 800rp, 1500rp, and then we can lock progression at 2500rp, so it won't be so easy. Race/Street cars have much more chances with a race/pro car than a stock player, who have to earn that 2500rp by getting only 20-40 rp for fourth place.

Bonus:
To prevent upgrading your engine to pro after earning 800rp, we could make a restriction, that you need 2/3 street parts, to unlock first race part, and so, 2/3 race to upgrade something to pro.

SECOND.
Unlocking new vehicles.

25k rp for vincent is A LOT. Casual players gonna farm it for few weeks. I already spend almost 3 days playing, and still got just 17k rp.
15-20k should be fine.

THIRD.
Time Trials!
One time trial per hour, and finishing time trial gives you just ~100rp. Come on! One per hour could give like 300-400 (i'm talking about hard ofc). Let's make it a boost ;p
This guy is right. I was thinking that maybe you could do the thing with cars the same as with performance tuning. I mean, rp needed for vincent would be like 7.5k, then for the next car it would be 10, then 15 and so on so the further you are in progression, the harder it is to unlock a new car.
First cars should be easier to unlock, because newbies won't be so motivated to reach at least that car. They will give up too early.
Yeah I completly agree with Spotlight 25k for a vincent is too much. I think 15k gonna be OK.
I agree too with Spotlight.
I agree with Spotlight
I agree with all the points, except for one. If we make unlocking cars much quicker than it is now (just like you want it), you will be able to unlock every single car (D to A class) in matter of 2 weeks, which sucks, because this gamemode is more of an RPG gamemode rather than "~15 hours to complete" system that singleplayer NFS games had. There's a big difference between creating good singleplayer progression and good multiplayer progression. If we make it so you spend 20 hours to unlock all the cars, you will get bored after that and stop playing..

However I do agree that maybe we should make first cars easier to unlock and then higher class cars will be hard to unlock.
