Drifting limits

Good day everyone.

Was wondering if there should be an option to add a "too slow" option like in nfsu2 while in drift races.Seems like there's no skill whatsoever when people are sliding around at 2km/h and getting serious points while others are trying their hardest to pull off some decent drifts and get little or at least some points. Should it be if your going under a certain speed limit you get nothing or bad idea overall?
It doesn't matter in the race world whether you win or lose, but the experience, thrill and memories that comes with them.

Totally unnecessary for me...you have to drive at least 38-40 kmh (i dont remember the specific speed but it's something between this) to hold your combo, when u lost it, then you can be sure it was to slow. Isn't it enough? Speed is not the most important factor when it comes to the drift. I found it very annoying when people drive like total bellends in drift race and finish 10laps race halfway.

Yeah not sure why there's a time limit/laps on drift races, you'll keep your points whether you finish the race or not which is kinda unfair.

The only thing I hated about drift is that if you tap a wall all points accumulated for that drift become 0, I think it would be more fair to give you at least a percentage, 1/4 or 1/2 of the potentially lost points, considering people chain drift 500k+ points and if they lose that score it's pretty devestating.
No, we do not need the "Too Slow" warning.

Since the server is mostly based on NFS Underground game, The Drift mechanism supposed to work the same way i think. So, no safeguard on combos, you have to deal with losing all the score you rack on combos. In fact, i used to regularly lose up to 1 million score combos like at least once per day when i am still a pleb back then, but it encouraged me to drift better as time passes. This "too slow" idea is not that bad imo, since NFSU also have that. Not sure if it will work well on GTA SA's drifting though since you can't really do nice drifts on higher speeds.

Not really, It's fair considering the guy who finished early got more distance traveled than the guy who drift slowly.

Alright fair enough, but the too slow can be a nice little addon by the speedometer, no need for any script or ingame tweaking really I'd imagine (hopefully.)

might as well just add Need For Speed Carbon's drift system... but it would be annoying since the drift tracks are small

The speed limit for scoring drift points is 25/30km/h so yeah.
