Warning: Before you read this, you have to consider some things:
-This thread will contain bad English (because I don't speak it very well).
-This is a LONG "crying baby thread" - where literally, a baby cries about his s***.
If any of these bothers you, leave just now, it will be better for you, have a good day.

*Note: TBH, I don't know which forum should i post this, so I posted it in here, i feel this more like a suggestion than a general discussion, but you can blame me for this*

For those who stayed here:
Hi everyone!
I want to talk about how i feel about the server nowadays, and discuss some suggestion that would make the game better (in my opinion)
If you are only here for what are my suggestions, go below the white lines, those are what you want to see then.

But first things first: Let me introduce a bit of myself:
On the server, you can find me as Chungus, (the one and only) with 1kk+ rp, also I'm the Hungarian Chungus (innen is üdvözlök mindenkit aki idetévedt).
I'm playing on the server for almost a whole year now, I spent 850+ hours here so i experieced almost everything, but i'm still a casual player.
You can find me on doherty, or anywhere on the map while cruising with my precious deluxo.

So, i want to start with a simple question: Why are you playing on the server?
Different people will answer differently, -for drinfting, -for the community, -for fun or -for collecting the cars or something else
Personally, i play for fun, and to enjoy the gameplay.

When you join the server first, you have a ton options for playing the game
do races for progress further and earn better cars, unlock all class, you can go search the car parts to unlock special cars, do the pursuits, the milestones for the latest new car the beamer, do the DH for 50 days to earn the deluxo, experience every car with all their good and bad feature, do the tasks to complete everything, unlock vinyls and parts to pimp your car and so on.

But my very problem is:  (and probably who has at least 500k+ rp may understand what i'm talking about)
There isn't any "post game" content
When you unlock the A class,  there isn't so much to do from then.
I've done almost all the tasks that i can.
I unlocked every class car, and maxed out all the important ones(sultan, cheetah, infernus etc.), and the ones i care about.
I collected all the parts for all cars, and unlocked all the "special cars" (except for 2, buggy and locust*).
I bought premium to support the server and for having all cars i want to have.
I memorized all the race maps, dyno'd every car i have for competitive play.
Doing races at this point is pointless, and most the time it's just a waiting simulator.

*these are the only 2 cars that i don't have, so there could be an option to unlock them but it wouldn't make so much a difference beacuse these cars the only ones i least care about.

Nowadays, i noticed myself like "log in -> do the daily dh and magazine -> logout -> repeat". Sometimes i'm doing some pursuit or just cruising in freerun for no reason or jumping for fun.
I got a little bit bored, and that's not the server's fault, but the lack of opportunites after unlocked all cars
The new updates are good, serously all the designers, scripters of the sever did really great job so far on the updates
But the car updates... i don't have any problems with them, but they don't do so much on their own. They make a huge impact at first, but after 1 month, it feels like there wouldn't be any update at all. (Maybe this is just my opinion).
The latest big update for me was the police pursuit update with the beamer. Not because we got an entire new car, but because we got the milestones. The milestones gave the police pursuits a reason to play it, and i enjoy doing them since then. But the problem with it still the thing that is from the very beginning: it can be a mode that frustrates the player so much.

So i started thinking, what would make the server better after you beat the game with unlocking A class. (and yeah, this is the suggestions part)
My first suggestion would be the "endless magazines"
It's simple, after you did the normal daily 3 way magazine, you can start the endless mode, where get a random location (literally random, not just from oncean docks to angel pine/missionary hill), you go there, then you get another (of course the time limit will deacrease on every 10th level to get harder and harder) then repeat until you want, or you fail because running out of time.
When you quit or fail, you will start it from level 1 again.
The only problem that i could think of why isn't this in the game already is the rewarding.
Yeah it would be a bit porblematic, to balance it to not gaining too much rewards which would make this mode better than racing, but i think it would be look like this:
You would gain rewards for every 5 level (of course only for once)
When you hit level 5 in endless for the first time, you will gain 200 rp and 200$, then on level 10 you get 400 rp and $, on level 15 600$ and rp and so on.
But this could be more balanced. I didn't think so much on this, i focused more on the next suggestion.

So the next suggestion would be a police pursuit mode, but this time, you would be the chaser.
To get more accurate: remember NFS hot pursuit? Where you can be a cop and chase the racers? This would be similar
On the very first: I desisgned this on my own, so there would be some design flaws, i tried to balance it as much as i can.
PLEASE read everything below before you complain about anything.

**Edit:
To be clear:
Pursuit Chase: One individual chase, where you chase one racer
Police Chase: The whole chase that starts from level 0 and ends in level 5
I know it couldn't be more coplicated, sorry for this, i'm so bad at naming.

In the garage there would be a panel, where you could switch to police mode or racer mode.
OR you could switch to police mode in freerun if you go to any of the 3 cities' police department, there would be a blip (like the red blip for painting shop). In that blip you can turn on/off the police mode, like if your were in "duty" in real life.
If you turned it on you are in police mode. If you turned it off, you are in standard racer mode. Simplicity itself.
If you are in police mode you can't join races, accept duels or anything like that, if you are in racer mode you can't do police chases

While you are in police mode, if you press the "race menu" key you will get the "bulletin board" interface instead of the regular race menu (it's the same looking interface, just renamed it)
The bulletin board will be the interface where you can start the police chases, and accept the pursuit chases
There would be 3 acceptable pursuit chase which represents 3 drivers that you have to chase, all in 3 different (random) locations.
It may look so comlicated at first.
Let me explain with an example, you are in police mode, and if you open the race menu (bulletin board) you'll see this (these are the pursuit chases):

  1. Name: Frank  Car: Futo   Location: Las Venturas, 4 dragons Casino   Time: 10 minutes
  2. Name: Jack  Car: Bravura    Location: San Fierro, Doherty   Time: 10 minutes
  3. Name: Kyle  Car: Primo    Location: Los Santos, Airport   Time: 10 minutes
These are 3 random A.I. "people" with random cars and locations. The time represents how many time a player have to finish the chase
You always get 3 random to choose from.
Only one pursuit chase can be done at one time and you can accept any of the 3.
When you accept one pursuit chase, you won't see any player in freerun until you finish it (like in regular police pursuit)
If you go after Jack, you'll have 10 minutes to reach doherty and to eliminite the opposing car (yeah if you are on doherty the chase will start immidiately after you accept it)
You don't get any help, you can only count on yourself. You could use spike strips to immobilize the racer, or just ramming it until it breaks down.
While you are doing a pursuit chase you can't reset the car.
The A.I. will try to escape from you, and it gets away if it is too far from you which could easily happen if you crash into something, or your car flips (since you can't reset it during the chase)
Let's say you caught Jack, so you got a minimal amaount of cash and rp, also a level for it.
Yeah, there is a level system, but it isn't as complex as you think.
Everyone starts on level 0 on each day, and if you caught a "racer" successfully, your level will increase
Your level will determine what cars you can go against:

Level 0: only E class
Level 1: E or D class
Level 2: D or C class
Level 3: C or B class
Level 4: B or A class
Level 5: only A class

The A.I.-s also would be harder on each level, like the police on heat 1-5
You can only start a police chase on level 0.
If you completed all 5 levels you finished the police chase for that day (you could do more if you want, but only on level 5, and you get no rewards from it)
Your level resets on each new day, like the DH and Magazine
You can stop the chase at any time, you can switch on racer or police chaser mode at any time, your level will be saved until the next day.
Your level won't decrease if you fail, but if you quit by yourself (or your game crash) you gain a penality that you can't do any pursuit chase for 1 hour.

The important rules of this mode:
  • You can only use this mode if you have 230k or more RP.
  • You could use any of your cars from any class. but if you choose an A class car to do so, the game only gives you AI-s with A class cars on each level
  • If you have started a police chase with 1 car, you can't change your car for pursuit chases until you finish it, or until your level is reseted on the next day.
  • You can't reset your car while you are in chase mode

And that's it guys
Oh boy, i can see a lots of "no"-s below this thread, but it's ok, i accept everything.

Yeah, I like the concept of the second suggestion, but the AI, unless strictly scripted, is dumb as hell. This is basically a reverse cop chase, and you know how the AI for the cop cars are in that.
I'm no scripter, but this sounds like a complex gamemode. Usually it was Bartek that did this kind of stuff...

About the cars, it's something I heard plenty of before from many other people, but this is the best way I can help. It's what I can do with my skillset.
I don't play very often. Other than people inviting me to do random stuff ingame, I don't have much interest in playing it, but, I was never that much into games. I'm not much of a gamer and I don't play any other game other than NFS:SA. The reason I'm still around is because I get to practice modeling and improve my own skills while the resulting models have some use for someone. Doing stuff and let it die in a folder is not much of an incentive for me, but watching people using and enjoying the stuff I make in a game is, so, I have a reason to keep doing it.

~Frankly speaking, you should increase your self-esteem. Your optimism leaves a pleasant feeling about your overall personality.

Well, this heart-cry resembles mine just nice.
My experience has begun back in the twilight of 2016, today it's almost 3 years since I'm here. However, I quited with playing there a year earlier, so you might consider it as a healthy 2 years. Still, I visited NFSSA for a quite numerous times, then I realised how it turned suprisingly silent over there though.
Ok, straight to the point, the reason why I disliked this server is only the community, but before considering me as a pathetic casual gamer, take into account the fact that I was progressing alongside the community. Friendly and moderately immoral Russian speaking community motivated me to play on this server over and over again, day by day. Somehow, a story didn't had a happy end.

That's due to various reasons:

1) Surrounding mates turned out to be crazily inadequate at the end, others either left or became disabled.
2) Zero motivation always leads a casual player of my type to leave. (Zero motivation = No good community)
3) My outlook improved after I got bored by playing endless games.
4) Nothing goes forever, you soon get bored of an amusement park which has the same rides and staff members (clowns. entertaining programs included).
5) A person's hobbies and interests tend to change their appereance throughout a certain period of time. ~e.g. I might like NFS-like arcade games and nostalgic feelings at first, but soon as I get mature, I'll be losing interest even on every fun aspect of the gameplay along with the community.
6) It's like a wife, you had a burning fellings for her at the beginning, then you got used to it. Don't take it way too serious, I'm not into a divorce or a none mutual feelings.

NFSSA Team's ambitions are pretty high-leveled and respective. I do not judge them for the lack of content, just the opposite! Content making managed to take second wind since Matthew appeared and Helo began to interact with community via Discord. Others make even greater job, especially the scripters. I wonder, what progr-ng lang they use to make scripts, just curious. Jeah, that'll be a big thanks for suppoting the project and the players!

Day by day, a product that was made out of people's memories dies in the background of modern trending games. We live in a society, where nothing is ever made by heart and people already adapted to this pattern. NFSSA Team makes everything for players to make them rejoice, they don't chase for a financial profit. At least, that's what my experience says.

Yeah the AI is dumb af, it would take so much effort to create an AI that is perfect for this mode. I considered the other option what we could have, the player vs player where you chase the players who are in racer mode
but that leads us to many more problems. Including the most obvious that make is almost impossible, the bad mta synching with other players, that's why i'd go with this version.

Matthew:It's allright, you are a modeler, do what you are capable of. You did your part so well in the latest updates, just keep it up!

First of all, i completely understand and agree with you about the server lacking of end game activities. I "finished" NFSSA since about a year ago. Bought all cars and maxed them up and i find myself don't have many option in activity other than doing dailies and playing races trying to improve myself (which i can't). Went away for a month or two like i usually do since this past years due to irl reasons and came back to play and do the usual thing again as always, never changes. At least playing races is always been my thing and that's the main reason i still play the game. You might want to find some new reasons to keep playing in the meantime since expecting new game contents to be added in this short while is very unlikely.

Although with that being said, i am sorry to bring this to you but none of your "end game" activity ideas are appealing in my opinion. Too much of an easy grab rewards and rather trashy to be honest, sorry if that offends you. I personally hate and despise single player activities, it sorta killed racing on this server. That's the main reason, but there's still another reasons behind it.

Let's start with this Endless Magazine. It is just simply nonsense. Nothing much new rather than just a recycled content. You also happen to miss out how randomly chosen location would mess it up so bad. Defining the time needed will be impossible and it may be a matter of luck rather than driving skills. For an instance it would be like this : You got x level magazine completed by going from Doherty to Angel Pine and having like 30 seconds spare, thinking you nailed it and feeling confident you are capable of beating next level, you proceed and find yourself struggling because the next point is Chilliad. You ran out of time because you have to traverse over the switchbacks despite the location is only like 300 meters apart.

As for your second idea, it is very unlikely. Matthew has already pointed it out. AI driven racer might perform even worse than our current Police AI. Creating a nice AI is hard and Bartek already gave up on that. Good luck finding anyone else who would want to work on AI. Player vs player chases wouldn't work neither, you have already said the reason yourself. I have this sort of Police Mode idea as well long ago in the past but i just scrapped it because i know it wouldn't work out in any way. And limiting this and the other activity to only 230K RP above players only so it would act like it is an end game activity? No, thank you. More like a discrimination to early-mid game players rather than an end game activity when you look at it in other's perspective.

A bit off topic here, still talking about end game activity. I have a nice draft of crew wars mechanism suggestion i wrote myself. Will post a thread about it later when the devs finally need or want suggestions on new game contents because suggestions thread tend to drown away quick. In short brief, it is NFS Carbon-like crew territory capture blend into NFSSA's URL-like scheduled time limited initiation, Available since early game (not beginning) but requires you to hit the end game to fully enjoy the content.

I completely agree.
With the magazine run: You opened my eyes why it would be a mess, i didn't considered these things at all. It's ok. As I said, i didn't think on this "mode" so much.
With the police mode: I knew in the first place my A.I. idea will be the problem, i understand why it can't be implemented on the server (at least right now).
I just threw these ideas as some "options", i didn't expect these to be on the server in the next couple of months, maybe one time.
However, i could accept anything new that add new gameplay opportunites at this rate, maybe your crew idea as well (despite i'm not a huge fan of crews).

Not a fan of current Crews feature neither. I've been crew-less for quite some time after i ruined my past crew until i joined another one and kinda fine living without it. It is nothing much but a nice group to hang out with, and just that. Hopefully liking it more in the future with more features and updates.
