Hello everyone, this is a thing i wanted to do for some really long time, but in my opinion we need to change the current server directions.
As a long-time player (i joined somewhere around the Lucek Wave, summer 2016) i can see some issues that have appeared during this long time and were or were not ever adressed.

As can be noticed from playing the server once in a while the server isn't at brightest of states - average of 50 players is not a high score. I've decided to make a small list of factors that should be solved at one point or another...
Now i do understand the following may look like me straight up hating every aspect, but it's not what i'm feeling(besides the exploit part), and if somebody feels offended by this post, big sorry from the start. I also understand You(devteam) do what you only can to keep the thing even working in those harsh times. Let's get to the rant

a) poor development

- rare and small updates, maybe without the latest one, as it did a fair bit of changes [but still too small to keep active(racing, meeting, even existing for more than daily tasks) players for longer than 2-4 weeks]
- question of handling has not been majorly revisited since the first Dyno update (2018!), every online based game does want to keep the gameplay fresh and competetive, not stale with fully expectable results (sultan/sgt/manana supremacy). This also counts for all the exploits and exploiters, but more on that later!
- Discord's update channel pins are a joke. IMHO this should be priority to get the stuff laying from back in 2018 to be done instead of including more meme vehicles and parts. It just doesn't look good to pin up ideas, then leave them on hold for so long, that the people suggesting them don't even play here anymore XD
- about Meme Vehicles - the devteam doesn't seem to learn from the failure Kalahari was, and decides to implement the Moonbeam. I have honestly nothing against this idea (it's not a bad vehicle!), but the time and effort for planned "r34 moonbeam" (expect me using this thing for a few more nitpicks) or other weird shit like that could have gone for something the fanbase awaited a lot more than it, for example a GTA3 Stinger or any other car anyone was ever willing to add

b) The Oldest Anarchy Server In Discord

- the DC server exists since at least 2017, yet there are total of zero rules. Hell, even the mods tend to not know what to do with a unit that causes major problems to server society
- The toxicity - more on that in d)
- Just one more here. I don't want to call out exact people, but the staff ranks are filled with people that are not even related to the server anymore for years... we could easily get someone active for these slots which would help controlling the chaos both on Discord and in-game

c) A state of Exploit and Performance

- After the Dyno update there has started the weird section of people that only used it to cause some weird vehicle performance... You know how it goes afterwards
- I know about at least a few people getting a permban for doing those, but it was apparently lifted by someone afterwards, just to later see them getting even more powerful setups, and using then to throw down all-time records
- Why is no action taken to remove such times caused by glitching the server's handling, or at the very least to fix such problems. If the Blank's 40FPS could get a fix, why not this thing? Unless that's an engine limitation
- Who allowed unbanning such people after what they have done in the first place? The person has seen what happened afterwards, and they should meet consequences of what they have done

Different stuff:
- Manana's 3-speed/4-speed gearbox (and any other vehicle with simmilar problems) - How in the world does keeping a stock/street element give you a better overall performance than a part technically built for racing... It just cries for an overhaul.
- B class balance - Do you want to have any chance of winning anything in that class? No problem, just get a Sultan/SGT and obliterate the living shit out of rest of B. Giant middle finger to anyone trying to max the rest of B class

d) The Holy Toxicity

- Both the MTA Server and the Discord is full of rather nasty situations. You know exactly what and where happens when you sit there for long hours every day hoping for sensation... Nope - same shit from both players and the devteam [calling out each other as furries (somehow they're considered a bad thing out there), proposing each other to eat socks, nwords and shit flying around without proper reaction, and many many more]
- The theme of update fight is something that is seen at least since the original Moonbeam update. Until recently every single day we saw:

"dev: yes i will make this meme part/useless change/whatever
player: 1). no dont do meme part/... but something productive
            2). same as 1) but contains insulit
d: no i will do because my car/i want"


It is almost certain the meme part will never be used unironically by others than the Creator or the person commisioning it. This will go wrong for everyone involved ("agile kits" etc.). Stuff like that should be a theme for discussion, and it won't hurt anyone

e) My Favourite and Unsorted

- bartek[PL]'s absence - when was the list time we have seen him? his last forum post is back from a year ago - "The month of NFSSA". The only activity he was seen afterwards is some rare memeing on the NFSSA Discord server, or asking if server works well for people (unless something else happened on the Dev-only channels). Who is actually taking care of all the new stuff being added, or the server even at all existing?

- Crews [ALPHA] forever - damn guys, if you don't want to touch the system since the 2016 (skipping the categorized tops, that's only thing that changed since then), then why bother with basically telling us you want to change up stuff in it for all this time? It's either an update, or small removal of one bracket.

- Mamba's lack of interior or any sort of tuning parts, tuning updates, zero additions since the start, when the car is worth the time spent with it

- Bullshit of CS RP limit - why let player just earn the parts by beating the events, when you can give him a barrier of (considering today's amounts of players) at least a month of nolife grinding to even try them at all. No NFS Games got these sorts of limitations. I understand those are often hard challenges for pro players, but why completely block them off for that reason... Sometimes you can learn something new just through trying out a preset build. It also is possible the player will break out before even getting to some challenges with high rp requitement!

- Bullshit of Timeline - If there are parts that simulate what you see being done to vehicles these days, then why not allow newer vehicles than ~2001(GTA 3). I don't mean supercars that would obliterate everything in the current stake (honestly i wouldn't mind if such vehicles appeared, but that's only my opinion), but some tuners that would really fit the server's atmosphere, and greatly enhance it for the end-user, while being too new to exist in any of 3D Universe games

I bet there is still a bit more of stuff to cover with this post. I hope the stuff gets solved at any suitable point in the future, before it's too late to save this server from sudden death. It sure requires some work to be done but it sure will be worth it. I, and a lot of playerbase would grealy appreciate to see this server alive for years from now on.

bartek is absent since like 2018, quindo took over the server but he also went inactive so its full anarchy mode

What I disagree with:
"After the Dyno update there has started the weird section of people that only used it to cause some weird vehicle performance... You know how it goes afterwards" No, I don't. Dyno on its own does not cause absurd car performance - exploits do. They just used dyno as an excuse.
No handling revisits? about that...

Things I agree with:
Stupidity of needing a lot of RP to play challenge series - they should be difficult, but available right off the bat for a possible headstart and introduction to server's cars' handling
the cesspool that is our discord server and ingame chat
Inconsistent exploiter tolerance - it should be a permban, but for some reason it's only a 6-month ban every time + not removing exploited toptimes (old glitches or flat out exploited times)
"agile kits" being trash

i cannot really remember any pre-dyno exploits, unless they were unintentional, maybe based on sheer bad performance of a computer used.

Yeah. A lot of those mods ended playing here so long ago, that i cannot even remember them from anywhere.

These are not new, this is pretty much compiled complains from most part of the NFSSA community throughout this past few years of server existing. I agree with most of them but not every.

Honestly i don't really mind updates being small and rare with only this few active developers busy with their own things. But the thing i don't like on the development project is that they are quite prohibiting willingly contributing members to contribute with it. That includes adjustments in handlings and maps. One time i got ridiculed for wanting to "remaster" most of the older low quality maps (bad arrows, laggy, etc) to meet better standards. Pretty much it is a "You are just a player, stfu". Very cool isn't it having devs who are actually have the right to do changes and things and not doing it, yet also prohibits those who are willingly to do their job. 

Not much different in the handling property, you probably already knew. Just for some reason they are just allergic with the toptime board to even not wanting to have to clear obsolete tops and have it as a reason so they not gonna change any handlings of the cars.

As for content directions, doubt you can do much about that. Again, we only have a few active developers, some with a mindset of being able to do anything because they just can. Can't blame them much, we are pretty much enjoying their creations for free anyway. Beggars can't be choosers. We are free to shit on Moonbeam or any of the shit stuffs still so just keep doing that.

I wouldn't care much about the discord server. It is a total mess already by the time you join. And to be fair, compared to most other MTA discord servers, NFSSA is not that bad.

Exploiting scene wouldn't change whether dyno is present or not. I also dislike how past exploiters were unbanned some for the reason the server lacks online activity. That's just bullshit. We need players, not cheaters.

3 gears and 4 gears exploits and imbalance will eventually get fixed and adjusted. Could have not took this long if they weren't so repulsive about the idea of clearing "dishonest" toptimes and/or competitive scene in general.

A hella true post I also wanna say things I agree

A-The updates can be so long sometimes but what the fuck man 3 months per update?

-After the dyno update people thought that dyno can save a lot of problems with cars and their basics.Well it does work but not for every single car.Like the goddamn futo you cant just fix that shit without having a handling adjustment.

-I dont have any problems with these "meme cars" but hell yes you are true.I mean kalahari at least works in some maps and races.Moonbeam has literally the worst kind of handling with being AWD as a disadvantage to fucking car.The god damn R34 part I hope that was just a joke even M3 GTR which I thought was a joke also came for what reason? Well who knows.


B-The discord is way out of control even if you want to talk normal some guy will come and say absurt things and fuck what was the true subject in that talk


C-Dyno itself doesnt have any problem but the setups have. People who exploit uses dyno as a excuse to cover themselves.
-I strongly agree with bans.Why the hell unban someone who fucks up others game? I honestly dont know the reason
-Not just B class every class has broken op cars which kills whole competiton inside class like "primo,manana,kuruma,deluxo,sgt,infernus" and some others


D-Our community is toxicer than the fucking chernobil reactor.You cant just have clear conversation with someone about something.
-People tell others bad words without thinking how other side will think and thats the main problem which probably cant be solved without strict actions.


E-As much as I know and think Bartek is busy with his personal business which I am not sure.But I can see that orb is in charge of things right now.

-I have no idea about crews they are alpha since they come.Maybe people in dev team dont have any ideas to what to add or some other things.

-CS one of a hella good improvement in server history.But as you said this RP limit brokes that glorious shine of it.I know people who left game because they cant farm above 20k and you want people to farm 600k? I mean come on.

-Adding new cars would be good above the 2001.Like the stinger or V8 Deluxe from LCS or some others from other games.


To summarise this thread was absolute trues that noone wanted to talk about.Good one tak

A - The game is a "free to play" experience with few developers avaiable to spend time producing stuff for the server on their free time, the game has no high income to keep a big team and keep updates fresh, so it just understandable why updates take so long, and people are going away probably because they lost interest on the project. I agree that it's sad that a project with this amount of work and uniqueness is slowly getting deserted, the game has so much potential to be big, but concequences that have been acquired throughout it's life spam is not helping the server. Lack of administration and divulgation is what is hurting the server the most.

B - The game has a variety of people from around the world, I can say one thing that will not get better anytime soon regarding the human race is toxicity. People hate each other for free, for no reason, all the time. You can't really do much about that, sadly. But I agree that the staff should be more severe towards toxic behavior, but it's funny because the staff itself is toxic together with others sometimes, so I can't really belive on the staff and it's rules, when even the staff itself doesn't respect itself. This should totally be looked at if people want to get a serious project with serious people running here.

C - As far as my researches go, exploits exists since the application of the custom handling, basically since the project left BETA version. Why? Because of how the GTA SA Engine works with frame rate. The game was built to run on 25 fps only, the server runs at 60, and on top of that, the cars are 5x TIMES FASTER than what they were supposed to be on the original game. And on top of the top of that, the game is fragile regarding external CPU usage, basically what I mean is, anything that is running on the background of the computer can interfere with the games behavior, expecifically stuff that requires a lot of CPU power/usage(like rendering or streaming or recording stuff.) If you leave the mta setting of memory usage on low you will notice what I mean. So with all that, "exploits" regarding game performance is unavoidable, because the game will ALWAYS behave differently from PC to PC, and with that it's basically impossible to fix stuff on the actual state of the server, something would have to be compromised, either the handling be reworked, or the frame rate be rethinked, or other corrective measures regarding mta itself. And no one wants to do that work, because it's too much work for too little income, and for a free made project. So unless NFSSA gets a serious investment, nothing will be done.

D - Yeah toxicty again. Either we pressure devs to get a more serious and active moderator team or just deal with it.

E - Bartek left long ago, Quindo where the one supposed to be the one holding the server up, but seens that he also left or is leaving, so basically Orbacle is the new dude working on the server, together with Matthew and others.
