Sure thing Matt, I'll give a breakdown of how things went for me.

I'm trying hard to think of a negative starting off as a brand new player. I thought perhaps that race earnings for last place are a bit too harsh, however this is remedied by the Beginner boost all new players get up until 20K RP if i remember correctly.

There is one thing in particular that bugs me not necessarily pertaining to brand new players and that's the options for unlocking Vinyls.

Vinyl points are in of themselves, pretty easy to acquire in order to unlock vinyls fast. Just do dailies, Diamond Hunt, or exchange points of which the latter is QUITE appreciated.

However, the random nature of the Vinyl unlocks bothers me because I often get sets that I don't really care for, sometimes the same kind a few times in a row. The Body Points system is more to my liking.

The Triple Magazine run Vinyl unlocks or Task Point Vinyl unlocks are a step in the right direction, as I at least get to choose from what is essentially 3 spins of the random Vinyls.

I would prefer an addition where if I wanted, I could spend triple, or more Vinyl points or 2 Task Points to unlock a certain set or Unique that I wanted specifically, as I enjoy creating nice liveries and other paint jobs on my cars that would require me to have vinyls of a certain type like gradients. (which I happened to get not too long ago, thank god.)

As far as community helpfulness is concerned, the more experienced players were quite helpful towards any questions I had starting out. Understanding NFSSA is a relatively simple endeavor, except perhaps Dyno tuning, however the forums are VERY useful in covering that point.

The Meta is easy enough to learn, simply asking around or doing URLs (which by the way are fantastic fun), over time a new player will quickly pick up what cars are competitive, what cars are not, and how certain cars drive and handle.

Toxicity is not pervasive and when it does happen to rear it's ugly head, the Moderators are usually on top of things as far as I have seen for now.

I've also joined a particularly neat crew with some Notoriety, TheRoute66. (though the crew's main language is Spanish, so I sometimes feel as if I don't fully belong, though most members do know basic English and don't seem bothered to accommodate me.)
