Hey guys!

So I've created a second map for NFS:SA which I find really appropriate to the Server since it Features a variety of Elements in it.

After driving a few matches on Ambassador Ridge, I got sick of pure high speed tracks where you have automatically lost if you car is just not fast enough, and so I decided to create a map which has about equal chances for slower but more agile and faster but less maneuverable cars.

It has some fast passages where a car with high speed and good acceleration has an advantage, but it also contains a lot of (sharp) turns to give slower cars with better handling an equal chance to keep up with faster cars (So that a car with 3/0/3-Tunes isn't much better than the same car with 1/3/1-Tunes).

Feel free to leave a comment here to tell me what I could improve (a bit of decoration will be added btw).

I apologize for the poor Quality of the Video and the few FPS-Lags since my PC is constantly doing a few background-activities (porn private stuff).
Greetings, Tru4Story

Seems very biased towards cars with handling and good acceleration from corners overall. These short passages which you can full throttle are too short for what you think is "balance", cars get very fast at full tuning and these straight parts become useless. In some corners there's not enough space (camera is clipping through arrows too), which makes it even more of an advantage for cars with the best handling. There are also no areas for top speed.
I don't like this map very much, because it seems dull and there's almost no variety in it (not a good idea to make a circuit on a highway intersection if you want variety).

I don't think you should go and say that your map is balanced unless you actually make a balanced map.
Also, Ambassador Ridge is a very boring map with slow cars, but when you race with very fast cars, some of the corners get very tricky and you can easily lose control (mostly depends on your car).

I disagree with you Venom, there are numerous courses that favour Top Speed and Top Speed only (Ambassadors Ridge, Freeway Run etc.) so i dont see the problem in having one course that favours acceleration and handling.

I dont see a problem in having one map where your 360 monroe or something cant defeat my manana, you know.

I quite like the map, but i dont like the bit that twists around the stadium (0:22 or so). I'd rather it was just on the motorway.

You disagree with me yet you didn't notice I was purely criticizing a phrase that the author said. Does that make any sense ? I'm being serious here, so many corners in one (quite small circuit) isn't what I call balance between straight road/corners. Especially when the author himself says that he wants balance between the two.

EDIT:
Top speed actually doesn't make a big difference (when comparing the same upgrade level and the same class), as the difference is usually 0 - 6 kmh between specific cars (again, this difference depends on class and upgrades). Yes, these attributes are great when racing on these tracks, but at the same time the engine power difference between cars of the same class is small. It also gets compensated by the fact that these tracks have some tricky corners which are easier to drive through with a bit slower but also more controllable cars.

Anyway, it's very hard to make good balance but it doesn't matter this map is bad. It's good but only one thing I don't rly like is this road modiffication near stadium.

I'm going to change that once I have the time, thanks for the replies.
